Many clients find that regular maintenance reduces discomfort over time as hair becomes finer.
How long do results last?
Traditional hair removal results typically last 3-4 weeks, depending on your individual hair growth cycle. With regular appointments, you may notice hair growing back finer and more sparsely over time, extending the period between sessions.
What should I do before my appointment?

Most clients experience minimal downtime. Temporary redness is normal and typically subsides within a few hours. For facial services, you can usually apply makeup the following day. We recommend scheduling intimate area services at least 48 hours before special occasions.
How do I choose between waxing and threading?
Threading is ideal for precise facial work, especially eyebrows and upper lip, and is excellent for those with sensitive skin or who use retinol products. Waxing is better suited for larger areas and provides smoother results for coarse hair. During your consultation, we’ll recommend the best technique for your specific needs.
Can I get waxed if I’m using Retinol?
If you’ve been using Retin-A for a long time, we recommend stopping it for at least a week before waxing to reduce skin sensitivity. Avoid waxing areas treated with Retin-A, Differin, or high-strength AHAs, as they can cause the skin to lift. Threading is a safe and effective alternative for facial hair removal in these cases.
What is the best way to prevent ingrown hairs?
Exfoliation is key! We recommend gently exfoliating the treated area 2 days after your appointment and continuing 2–3 times a week. We also carry specialized post-wax serums at our Ashburn sanctuary to keep follicles clear and skin hydrated.
Does it get easier over time?
